M-Three Satcom developed, together with its partner company Elber, a new satellite receiver for end-to-end solutions, the ESE-1RU. Designed for the high-end radio contribution and distribution market, where quality and reliability are most important. The Elber IRD (Integrated Receiver Decoder) ESE-1RU offers a professional audio quality (and composite video) at an excellent quality/price ratio. The development of digital satellite contribution networks and the need to connect a large number of sites require a cheap but reliable and performing satellite receiver with integrated decoder. The ESE-1RU demodulates any DVB-S or DVB-S2 signal with no limitations in terms of modulation scheme and configuration (single/multistream). The ESE-1RU can decode one stereo pair, encoded as MPEG-1 LI/II, MPEG-2 LII, MP3, MPEG-4 AAC-LC or MPEG4 AACplus, with analogue and/or digital (AES-EBU) outputs. In the meanwhile, the ESE-1RU can decode a video signal (SD/HD, MPEG-2/MPEG-4) associated to the radio service , providing a CVBS output (performing eventually HD downscaling) on a BNC connector.

The device can be easily managed through the local user interface (a modern touchscreen display) or remotely through the web interface and SNMP. The ESE-1RU is very compact and lightweight and can be equipped with both AC and DC (10-13VDC) input power.
