M-Three signed an agreement with Viacom International Media Networks Italia Srl to ensure “direct to home” (DTH) satellite broadcasting for the brand new Paramount Channel for the next three years.
The channel, entirely dedicated to TV shows and films, will be available on channel 27 of the Italian DTT and on tivùsat platform via satellite. M-Three will take care of its distribution both in SD and HD on two different Hot Bird/Eutelsat 13 Est platforms, the main satellites for radio and TV content broadcasting with more than 180 million receptions in Europe, as well as an extensive coverage in the Middle East and over the Mediterranean.
The deal includes signal collection and distribution from M-Three’s main teleport in Milan and access to Eutelsat’s Hot Bird satellite, of which the company is partner and official distributor.
Viacom International Media Networks is Viacom network’s section for non-US market, and broadcasts various international channels such as: MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and, of course, Paramount Channel.
